Montana Science Fair 2010
Student Conduct Code and Liability Policy
Student Conduct Code

Congratulations on being selected to attend the Montana Science Fair.
We hope your attendance is filled with pleasant memories and new friendships! We do ask that you pay attention to the following guidelines in order to help ensure that this competition is conducted in an effective manner:

1. Be respectful and considerate of others at all times. Remember, you have been selected to represent your school. Make all those at home proud of your behavior.
Be friendly and courteous at all times. Make a special effort to make new friends.
Be especially polite and quiet when judging is on-going, as it is often very difficult for the judges to hear when there is a lot of background noise.
The same applies during the awards ceremony.

2. Bullying, disrespect, and/or destructive behavior will not be tolerated.
Violators will be turned over to their teacher(s)/parent(s) and removed from
the competition.

3. The use of tobacco products, alcoholic beverages and/or other drugs is prohibited.

Liability Policy

Every effort will be made to protect your Exhibit. However, the exhibit area at the Montana Science Fair will be open to the public Monday evening and Tuesday morning, and unattended Monday night after 9:00PM.
The University of Montana and the Missoula Exchange Club cannot and will not accept any liability or responsibility of any nature for any theft, loss or damage to any Exhibit or any other property of any Exhibitor. Accordingly, it is recommended that each Exhibitor take all prudent precautions to prevent any theft, loss or damage to his/her Exhibit and/or other property. Each Exhibitor should secure and guard his/her Exhibit and/or other property at all times during the Fair, and remove all valuable components, especially those that are easily portable, when the Exhibit and/or other property is left unguarded by the Exhibitor. The one exception would be that all components should remain with the Exhibit until judging is finished at 4:30PM on Monday evening.

I have read the above paragraphs, understand, and
accept the Montana Science Fair code of conduct.
