Montana State Science Fair - March 18th and 19th, 2013.scifair

The 58th Annual Montana State Science Fair will be held March 18th and 19th, 2013. The Montana State Science Fair and has been a major event at The University of Montana, Missoula, since 1956. Presently, the Fair is jointly sponsored by The University of Montana and the Missoula Exchange Club and co-sponsored byThe University of Montana President's Office. It is funded by the UM Excellence Fund, other campus departments, outside contributions, and the proceeds from the Fair.

Last year, over 600 students from across Montana showcased their mastery of the scientific method, and a few exceptional students were even chosen to represent Montana in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), held in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Montana State Science Fair is affiliated with the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) . The grand award winners from The Montana State Science Fair and Montana's regional fairs go on to compete at Intel ISEF in a different U.S. city each year. ISEF is administered by Society for Science & the Public (SSP), whose headquarters are in Washington D.C.
