54th Annual Montana Science Fair

Schedule of Events

 

SUNDAY, March 21st

2:00-6:00 pm        Early Check-in/Late Registration begins in the PARTV Lobby ($20 entry fee per student collected for those who have not yet paid or $25 late entry fee per student collected for those who have not pre-registered)  Exhibit set-up will be on Monday morning ONLY. University parking passes are available during both registration times for $3.00 per pass. Each pass is good for 1 day. 

 

MONDAY, March 22nd

8:00-12:00 noon   Registration and Exhibit Set-up in the Adams Center
Exhibit Set-up: Grades 6-8—Adams Center Sports Arena (Lower Level) Grades 9-12—Adams Center North Level B (Main Level) (Students Must remain at exhibits until exhibits have been inspected by the Sign and Safety Committee)

11:00-12:00 noon Judges Orientation—In The Sky Club (signs will be posted)

12:00-1:00 pm     Lunch Break for Student Exhibitors, Adams Center Concessions will be open 11:30am-1:30pm and other options will be available on or near campus

12:00-1:00 pm     Judges Walk-Through—Exhibits in Arena (No students, teachers, or parents will be allowed on the floor during this time)

1:00-4:30 pm       Judging*—Students must remain at exhibits (No parents or teachers will be allowed on the exhibit floors) Fair Photographer will be circulating to take participant photos

4:30 pm               Students Released

7:00-9:00 pm      Exhibit Viewing Open to Students and Public—Students may return to see their exhibits (optional)

 

TUESDAY, March 23rd 

8:00-11:30 am    Montana Science Fair Open to Public for Viewing

10:00 am            Awards Ceremony at the University Theater

*Please Remember: As has been true in the past, parents & teachers are NOT allowed to sit in the lower level of the theater. Parents & Teachers will be requested to sit in the upper balcony to ensure there is enough room for all the students on the lower level. This WILL BE ENFORCED. We appreciate your cooperation.

 


 

*Judging is modeled after the ISEF procedures; i.e., there will only be one round of judging.  Gold, Silver, and Bronze ribbons will be placed on winning exhibits after students are released at 4:30 pm and can be viewed when the fair opens to the public

 

Important Reminder: 

Students must leave their exhibits up for public viewing until after the awards ceremony on Tuesday, March 23, 2010
